Ubud and the Gianyar villages around it hold more of our trips than anywhere else in Bali, and they divide into two kinds of day. One is a car and a driver going out to the terraces, the waterfalls and the temples. The other barely leaves Ubud: a gamelan lesson, a batik bench, a cooking class, a night market walk, a dance evening. Both are private, and both can be shortened or swapped around once you are in the car.

The class and studio days are priced per person, because the studio charges per head. The driving days are priced per car, so four people pay what two would.
